FAQs
The following are some of our most frequently asked questions. Let us know if you have further questions!
Do you offer proactive tax planning?
Yes. We help you to put strategies in place to legally minimize current and future income taxes. Being proactive about tax efficiency is an important part of our service offering.
What type of clients does TwoTen work with?
We do our best work with tech executives and professionals who are age 40+, high earning, equity compensated, with investment assets above $500k, and have yet to partner with a financial planner or are considering hiring a different planner. If TwoTen is not a good fit, we will do our best to answer your questions and point you in the right direction to a financial professional that may be a better fit for you.
What can I expect if we work together?
TwoTen Planning is an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm. This means we are a fiduciary and are always putting your interests first. We are not beholden to any specific company, product, or strategy, which allows us to focus on what is best for you.
While located in Austin, TX, we work with clients nationwide. Our services are typically provided virtually, through Zoom meetings.

What process and timeline can I expect when I become a client?
We are looking for a long-term relationship with clients, not a short-term, transactional interaction. We’ll meet several times to get started and hold one or two review meetings each year.
Our new clients start with an easy 3-step process.
I am ready to have a conversation. How do we start?
Let’s have a complimentary Intro Visit to learn more about your situation, answer your questions, and see if we may be a good fit. Schedule the Intro Visit here.
No commitment is required during the Intro Visit. And, if we think you would be better served elsewhere, we’ll let you know upfront and refer you to another financial professional.
Do I have enough money to become a client?
While not obligated to delegate investment management to TwoTen, if clients choose to have their investments managed by TwoTen, we do have a $500,000 minimum. This is especially important if the client chooses to have their fee deducted from their investment accounts.
